Promised Land Living
Dates: Tuesday nights from Sept. 18 - Nov. 6
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 CST
Place: ZOOM room (online video conference)
Retreat: November 9 - 10, 2018
Description: The world comes at you with everything it has, trying to keep you distracted and distanced from people and activities that bring joy and life. Promised Land Living will give you the tools to fight back, to live out your priorities, to speak truth to that voice in your head that says you don't have what it takes, to become the person that God called you to be.
You will have the opportunity to transform your thinking as you encounter God in a fresh way. Although the curriculum is centered around Exodus 23, this is not a Bible study. Instead, this class will lead you through a process of dispelling myths, conquering lies, rediscovering truth, and walking in freedom.
Each session will begin with a time to share what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you during the previous week. The remainder of the time will include a short lesson, in-class exercises, and coaching time where participants can ask questions and share revelations. You will be encouraged as you become part of a special community where you can be transparent and hear the insights of others. At the end of the session, you will be given a brief homework assignment for the upcoming week. All lessons will require some amount of homework, but it is up to you to determine whether or not you have the time or desire to complete it. Class participation is simply enhanced if all members actively participate. The class also includes a private one-on-one coaching session to be scheduled individually.
Procedure: Once you register online, you will receive the class materials via email. Each week, participants will log in to the ZOOM video conferencing platform either by computer/phone/tablet or by phone line. The connection is free and instructions will be provided. If connecting with a phone line, you are responsible for any applicable charges.
Cost: The course includes eight small group coaching sessions, two one-on-one coaching sessions, and an optional weekend retreat at the end of the course. The deposit at registration is $100/person. The remainder of the cost will be billed at the beginning of October and November at the price of $199/month for each month, or you can pay the remaining $398 the first month and receive an additional individual coaching session free.
